About · Author
Electronics engineer and founder of AESTECHNO, an electronics design house based in Montpellier, France. Principal author of the technical content on spilma.com.
Background
Section titled “Background”More than 10 years of experience in electronics design. Specialised in:
- Electronic product design, from requirements to industrialisation, including PCB design, embedded firmware and mechanical integration.
- Internet of Things (IoT), connected architectures covering Wi-Fi, BLE, LoRa, Sigfox, cellular (LTE Cat-M, NB-IoT, 5G).
- Regulatory certification, guiding projects through CE, FCC, RED and PTCRB, with a focus on recurring pitfalls and on optimising dual EU/US certification strategies.
- Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), analysis, pre-testing, lab support.
AESTECHNO
Section titled “AESTECHNO”AESTECHNO is the electronics design house I founded in Montpellier (France). Activity covers:
- Electronics design (analog, digital, mixed-signal, RF)
- Embedded firmware development (ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers, embedded Linux)
- High-frequency and low-power PCB design
- Support for CE, FCC, RED and PTCRB certification
- Technical audit of existing products
- Regulatory watch and support for evolving standards
AESTECHNO is the editor and sponsor of spilma.com. The site's editorial line is deliberately neutral: no product is promoted, no brand favoured. Content is grounded in official texts, harmonised standards, and experience gained on client projects (under NDA, no specific client details are published).
Why spilma?
Section titled “Why spilma?”CE marking, FCC compliance, the RED directive and PTCRB certification are poorly documented in French and not much better covered in English at the level of practical engineering work. The available resources are either too technical (raw legal texts) or too superficial (commercial guides that gloss over the real issues). spilma exists to fill that gap, producing the documentation I wish I had found at the start of every client project.
The goal is to be useful without being promotional. CTAs to AESTECHNO are there for readers who want professional support, but the site should stay valuable for those who never get in touch.
